Hi Lovelies,
I am typing this on my wonderful new iPhone. Since I am now once again able to check email and Twitter during the day I should once again be updating here.

As such I am probably going to be doing some app reviewing as well as a review of the iPhone once the learning curve has worn off!

I am also trialing blog writng apps currently to figure out which one fits me best so I shall be able to blog and respond to coments on the go!

There has been some exciting and some not so great developments in my life lately that have limited my time and the energy I direct at my blog but I am hoping things have settled.

I have wanted on of these for years and years. While I dont work in a cubicle anymore I think it would be fun to see my cats chase the missiles!

I was working on Pitt street for my two weeks training and this bakery does heavenly cupcakes. Featured above is Strawberry. Sadly only in Sydney but expect to see them expand to other cities eventually.

I have been a very bad blogger the last 2 weeks. Due to having to relearn work/life balancing. I am planning on writing all my blog posts ahead of time from now on (Mondays post is already written) so all I have to do on nights where I am exhausted is post them. Hopefully this goes to plan..

While I Love me a Cake Wreck Sunday Sweets is my favourite post of the week hands down. This week it was Cakes Based on Threadless Shirts. Not sure if I want the cakes or the shirts more! SO gorgoeus!

• Twitter Home Page:

Twitter has a new home page with the emphasis on searching for content. Very slick but since I twitter mainly through TweetDeck probably not going to effect me much. Strangely no outrage as always happens when Facebook changes something

I would wear these to the movies with Long Shorts and Oxford Pattern socks, Arm warmers and Blue Streaks in my hair.

I broke my hair straightner. Dropped it and cracked the ceramix plate. My boyfriend works at a hair salon (not as a hair dresser) and when he saw he offered to buy me a new better straightner! Such a gem! So a Cortex Hair Straightner is in the works for me soon. I shall review it when I get it!

• Coraline Book by Neil Gaimen.

I really want to read the book before I go and see the movie. Gotta get my hands on a copy! I love Neil Gaimen and I know that the book will be awesome!

Cupcake Addiction

I baked Cup Cakes. I had this random impulse to bake.. this impulse happens every now and then usually when I am stressed. So I created some gorgeous chocolate laden treats to cheer me up and to share with my family. So I took some photos and thought I would share with you, along with the recipe.

Cupcake Ingredients:

• 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavour
• 125 grams of butter
• 1 1/3 cup of self raising flour
• 2/3 of a cup of castor sugar
• Two eggs
• Two tablespoons of cocoa powder
• 1/4 of a cup of milk

Method:

1. Place the butter, castor sugar and the vanilla in a mixing bowl. Mix the cupcake mixture together for three minutes, add eggs and then beat for a further three minutes.

2. Stir in the self raising flour, the cocoa powder and the milk and then mix until well combined.

3. Place teaspoons of chocolate cupcake mixture into patty pans and bake in oven at 180 degrees Celsius for twenty minutes.

4. Remove from oven let cool before

Icing Ingredients:

• 150g Butter - softened
• 250g Icing sugar
• 2 tbls cocoa powder
• 2 tsp very hot water

Method

1. Beat together the butter and sugar with an electric beater.

2. Once well combined, add the combined cocoa powder and water. Beat until smooth and creamy.

A Quick Note on Commenting

Hi Guys,

Just a quick note on the new commenting system. I have installed Intense Debate to replace bloggers standard comments. It looks very different and isn't as clean looking as I would like but it has a couple of upsides.

• You can now use your Twitter account to comment if you would like (If you do this I shall like add your to my Twitter Followers)

• You can use you Intense Debate account to comment (That is what that login button is for) or your OpenID if you have one.

• You can also still comment without having to login at all

• Threaded commenting is now available meaning that if someone replies to your comment it will show up underneath rather than at the bottom of the stack. You can also subscribe to Replies to your comments as well as the whole lot.

• You can now have an Avatar next to your comment using Gravatar which is also used on sites such as Chalkbored

There is also the downside of no longer being able to log in with your blogger/google account but I think the upsides outweigh this. If you have a blog/website put it in the "Website" field and it will turn your name into a link to your site. I will definitely check it out and you might find yourself in Link Love at some point.

Geeky Style "Girl" and "Guy" Versions.

I was informed that my Fashion Articles so far are sexist as they only featured looks for girls! Whoops! Sorry guys. So I decided to create a bunch of looks in a "Girl" and "Guy" Version Mainly because I couldn't find a lot of unisex stuff out there. It was a challenge to keep the looks consistent but interesting while still making them wearable.

Using A T-shirt as a base for both the "Girl" and "Guy" versions I worked to find comparable items for each set. All the T-shirts are from Think Geek and on my Wish list!

First Up:

Guys Geeky Outfit #1 by Miss Addict featuring Converse shoes

"You Never Forget your first Doctor" Shirt as a base. I love this shirt with a passion being a MASSIVE Doctor Who fan. My Favourite part of this outfit is the Chucks and the "Girl" versions Jacket. That Jacket = Major lust for me! Please note I accidentally used Kids Chucks in these Sets but they do come in Adult Sizes!

The "Girl" version has a bit more zaniness to it due to the tights but if your not a zany person you could lose the coloured tights for plain ones. The "Guy" version is a slightly more complex version of the Basic "Guy" Look and could be added to with a coloured shirt under the Tshirt or by adding shorts and knee high socks to the look.



Second Up:

Guys Geeky Outfit #2 by Miss Addict featuring French Connection

Girl Geeky Outfit #2 by Miss Addict featuring Frye boots

For the Firefly Fans out there a "Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal" shirt. Wanted to add some of the feel of Firefly in the outfit, those the leather and cowboy-ish feel! The boots in these outfits are the "Girl" and "Guy" version of the Frye Engineer Boot. Accents of Gold to match the brown shirt and the boots make this a really handsome outfit whether worn by a girl or guy and I love the leather bag! I already own the City Of Angels Ring in Silver and its beautiful!

I think the "Guy" version ended up looking more Tailored while the "Girl" Version is a lot more flowy but if your a Girl who loves Tailored you could always wear similar pants to the "Guy" version and I have seen some Guys rocking a Flowy Cardigan!

A Self Maintenance shirt forms the base item along with a pair of Classic High Top Converse All Stars.. I wanted to Match the colours of the chucks throughout the outfit without making it look really crowded . So I added Teal and Red accessories and tried to keep the feel of the outfit the same for both "Guy" and "Girl". The "Guy" Version of the outfit has less colour due to not being able to find as much to match. But as with all the outfits you could mix and match the accessories around to your liking.

10 Signs You're Addicted to Twitter

I am addicted to Twitter. Whole heartedly. It came to me when I was walking home in the rain shielding my phone so I could send a tweet complaining about the rain! And thus I started composing this post. I am probably missing alot the signs of Twitter Addiction so feel free to add them in the comments!

1. The first thing you do when you wake up is to announce your presence to Twitter.

2. You Tweet people who are in the same house as you.My sister and I do this frequently...

3. Your friends no longer call you to find out how life is going since they now follow your every move on Twitter.

4. You use hash tags in IM conversations with friends. Extra points if you do it outloud in RL.

5. You have more than one Twitter Ap (eg. Twitteriffic, Tweetie, TweetDeck, Twirl or Digsby) installed on your computer and your choosen one runs automatically when you start the computer.

6. When you cant twitter you start to get withdrawl symptoms such as talking to yourself (but only in 140 characters or less).

7. You follow important news via "Trending Topics" i.e You heard about Michael Jacksons death via Twitter.

8. You need to log off Twitter or you dont get any work done... But you are still logged in.

9. You are constantly harassing friends and family to join Twitter. My Mother, Sister, Best Friend, Boyfriend and Assorted other people in my life are all on Twitter.

10. You walk into and trip over stationary objects because your Tweeting on the go... then you Tweet that you just fell over.

Flash Games Addiction!

Im not really one for video games. My sister currently holds the reigning title of "Queen of Playstation and Xbox" in my house. However I personally love flash games. Utterly love them. I get sucked in and will emerge hours later trying to figure out how I managed to lose 5 hours of my life. So I thought I would share with you the games that I am currently playing to distraction. Play at your own risk!

Nom Nom Nom 4 Fud

This is the lol cat game. Use the cats tail to aim and slingshot the cat towards fud. Earn extra points by collecting cheese burgers and balls of yarn.
I discovered this game last week and played for hours. Getting frustrated with levels I couldn't get past and rejoicing when I beat them! I promptly got a friend of mine obsessed too and we sat chatting backwards and forwards about how we were doing for hours enjoying the incredible cuteness that is a zooming cat looking for Fud.
Addiction Level: 8

Bejewelled

I first got addicted to this game back in high school and found it again a couple of weeks ago thanks for a fellow addicted friend. Match jewels to get points. You can play beat the clock or regular untimed games. A very easy way to pass the time. Not as cute as Nom Nom Nom 4 Fud but a decent way to distract yourself while you wait for something to download.

Peggle

Like a game of ping ball with a cannon. Extremely hard but satifying when it does what you want. Hit all the targets by rebounding the ball in the right direction. I found this one after I finally got bored with BeJewelled and finally went looking for something else to play. Cute Name, Addictive Game.

Pengiun Baseball

I have been playing this game for years. I am shocking at it but I love it all the same! Hit a penguin as far as you can playing a baseball bat swinging Yeti. Again with the addictive. Of course penguin lovers might want to skip this one!

How to Endure Dress Shopping

I recently had to go shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding. The first time I went was a study in frustration. Not only could i not find a dress but trying on dresses was time consuming because I hadn’t planned ahead. So for my next trip I sat down and worked out how to make my shopping trip less of a hassle and here is what I came up with.

• Figure out what you want. Sounds simple A Dress! Then you consider things like length, colour and warmth factors. It’s considered inappropriate to wear black or white to a wedding. Floor length was to formal and any short than just above the knee and I wouldn’t be comfortable. I also wanted to make sure it was wearable with a cardigan preferably something I could wear again.

Trying on dresses means you are going to need to get practically naked. Make sure you are wearing a strapless bra as I discovered most dresses have really thin straps or are strapless.

Wear as few layers as possible. Having to try and 10 on dresses means having to get undressed 10 times so Wear a shirt you can pull over your head, An easy to take off skirt or Jeans (no belt) and slip on and off shoes (no boots or shoes with laces)

If you are going to wearing a cardigan with your dress take that with you (or wear it) so you can try it on with varies dresses. Going to be wearing tights under the dress? Wear those so you can get an accurate idea about whether the dress will look decent or stupid.

Try on as many dresses as you need to til you find one you like. If you find one that is perfect you love omg YOU MUST HAVE IT! BUY IT! Dont try on another 100 dresses trying to find one just as good.

Stick to your price range. Dont try on dresses out of it unless you are prepared to pay that price. Why? If you find a dress you love but its out of your price range you shall break your own heart AVOID this!

Take a Friend with you to do up zippers and make sure they are honest enough to tell you if you look terrible in it.

If you like a dress but arent sure, Take a photo (you may have to be sneaky) and sleep on it.

Not sure its appropriate for the occasion? Ask the sales lady in the store they are great at this. If the dress your wearing isnt appropriate (to short/long/wrong colour etc) they can usually point you in the right direction.

How to Survive a Cold

Sorry for the lack of Blog Posts people. I managed to catch a cold from my partner and it has developed into a chest infection! Lots of money on medication later and I'm the road to recovery! So I thought I would compile my list of ways to survive a cold!

1. Hire/buy/rewatch some DVDs such as a TV series you love and curl up on the lounge or in bed. Day time television is not something you want to inflict upon your sick self. Alternatively curl up with a book.

2. Keeping yourself hydrated will help your body fight off the icky germs. Water is best and Tea with Honey will also help ease a sore throat.

3. Being sick is the ultimate excuse to sleep in and take Nana naps. Curl up all warm and cosy and let your body duke it out with the sickness while you are in dream land.

4. When you nose ends up feeling like your using sandpaper instead of tissues (remember that stupid TV ad...) and it will no matter how expensive the tissue, use some unscented lip balm to ease the soreness. Also use the lip balm on your lips to keep them from drying out as well.

5. Invest in some of those exorbitantly expensive tissues that are 3 ply and soft. When you are blowing your nose every other minute your nose will thank you and it will keep the soreness at bay for longer than cheap stuff.

6. Buy some Cold and Flu Tablets from the chemist (be care to check your not on any medication that reacts though!) It won’t cure you but it will make things more bearable and is worth it just to feel slightly better.

7. Don’t stay in your PJ’s all day. It’s tempting but make sure you have a shower or bath and get dressed. Dress in your most comfy house clothes (that pair of track pants at the back of your wardrobe, slippers and an over sized t-shirt work great) Even dressed in comfy clothes you’ll feel more human.

8. Take Vitamin C and Echinacea. Both are recommended to help fight of colds.

9. Have a bath. The steam will help with the clogged up feeling in your head and the warmth will help ease the ache of your muscles.

10. Lastly If you are still feeling sick after 2 days and aren’t improving see a doctor pretty please! It could be something more serious like a chest infection and you might need antibiotics to get over it. This goes double if you have asthma!
