Hi Lovelies, 


Long time no see! I wanted to say hi and l let you know I Have a new obsession currently. I saw Wicked the Musical. My Favourite song is as your can probably tell Defying Gravity I even bought a shirt with this on it.


For all the Gleeks out there Elphaba was played by Idina Menzel in the first Broadway production. Idina plays Shelby Corcoran, the coach of the rival glee club Vocal Adrenaline on Glee for those who don't know. 


The song was also performed on Glee by Kurt and Rachel 





This song had me almost singing along in the theatre on saturday and its a powerful anthem about not letting things hold you back. I have had it on repeat (the broadway version) since I got it last night! 



Since I was told to get over my mental block very kindly while having an awesome chat about blogging and its various ups, downs, challenges and all that goes along with adding that feather to your cap with the Lovely Kimberley from Pop Couture who kicked me into writing I thought I would share with you my current obsession since thats why I started this blog in the first place!

I discovered this wonderful typography video done to the words of a brilliant poem by Taylor Mali. I was rewatching this on the weekend and was planning on including it in Link Love and this just cinched it! I love Mr Mali and the typography just beautifully illustrates it! I hate when people say “Totally” “Like” “Whatever” and “You Know” in conversation! Drives me batty! Also  watch What Teachers Make (My Mum is a Teachers and when she watched this she practically leapt off the couch dancing) and “I will fight you for the library” Always guaranteed to have me in stiches!

I love Graph Jam. When I was trapped in a cubicle it was one of the things I looked forward to reading on my lunch break everyday! This graph is also very very true!

Munnies (Vinyl Customizable Dolls) I love the way that people customize and bring their own personal style this medium particularly the shapes and vibrant colours. I have been coming across these fellas for quite some time and this post at colour has some plastic goodness! 

When to Protect your contacts via IFB 

This is not something that is an issue for me being a tiny blogger, not really a fashion blogger and not even getting soliciting emails! but I can imagine bigger bloggers who are more fashion focused than I get it a lot! an interesting read and a good take on how companies like to use bloggers to gain access to a network of contacts that didn’t used to exist!

Breaking into Belting via Already Pretty

Already Pretty is a constant of awesome. Sal is not only a brilliantly stylish lady but writes really brilliant pieces on body image, self esteem and how fashion interacts with our daily lives. Also she is a big geek and thus has my undying love forever more! I love her particularly helpful piece on belting which I am going to be having a go at ASAP cause I am still stumbling around in the dark there!

Sociological Images is one of my favourite blogs. Im a serious Sociological geek and am in fact looking in going to Uni to study it later this year. This blog points out so many of the things that I miss in daily life and makes me giggle at advertising on a constant basis because its utterly crazy maddening. 1. Fry Engineer Boots from Zappos. Have been lusting after these for ages. Seriously out of my price range for now but damn are they pretty!
2. Tetris Bracelet from Livethislife777 etsy shop. I quickly get addicted to tetris every time I start playing again. Thus this bracelet absolutely perfect for me!
3. Tulle Skirt from YesStyle. I lusting after a neutral/beige tulle skirt as I love my recently purchased black one. Love the Layers in this one!
4. Cookie Monster Nom Nom Nom Shirt from 80’s Tees. Among the disturbing costumes there are some awesome t-shirts on this site like the Cookie Monster Shirt Pictured above.
5. Radio Controlled Dalek from Minotaur. I saw this when I was in the physical store in Melbourne and barely resisted buying. So much awesome. As a massive Dr Who Fan this is definitely on my Love List!
6. Hand made laptop sleeve from fantellas etsy shop. My new Baby Aphrael a 13 inch macbook pro needs protecting and while her current sleeve works its not very stylish. This gorgeous sleeve will do the job perfectly I think!
7. Agent 99 Pocket Maxi Dress from General Pants. I have had my eye out for a basic maxi dress in black that doesn’t break the bank and this one fits the bill. May soon be an own not a lust and love!
8. iPad from Apple. No need just want! Everything Apple does makes me want. I simply want to play with the iPad. Though seriously guys get a girl on your design team cause the name is a disaster!!!
9. Brighter Skies Umbrella from Mod Cloth. The most common accessory I have been carrying lately has been a plain black boring umbrella. I would much rather swap it with this lovely one from mod cloth!

1. Storm Animation
Storm is a 9 minute beat poem by Australian comedian Tim Minichin. It is one of my favourite pieces of comedy in the entire world! The first time I ever heard it I literally laughed hysterically throughout the entire thing! It is being turned into an animation. 2. My Life Is Average
MLIA is possibly my favourite website currently. Filled with amusing stories of peoples every day lives it never fails to make me giggle. For fellow iPhone uses they have an App which means you can get Average stories while out and about! I tend use it as a pick me up on days when I feel like I'm going to tear my hair out!

3.Autocompleteme.com
A website show casing some of googles odder assumptions using the Auto complete function. Such gems include "Penguins Are: My favourite type of frogs" and "My grandma: seduced me" ... not sure how google comes up with this but the results are pretty funny!

4. 10 Words you need to stop misspelling from The Oatmeal
I could of just linked the entirety of the Oatmeal site but picked this one at random :) Love his cartooning style. This site is a major time suck! Don't say I did not warn you!

5.How Websites Work
This is a lovely illustration done by John Martz for his friend Neil Lee who works at Mozilla. I am sure this is how many people imagine websites working!

6.320by480
Lovely illustrations by Mohammad F. Haque (aka Hawk) the co creator of applegeeks. He is kindly offering them as 320by 480 iPhone backgrounds. I had trouble picking one to use!

3. Prada Sunglasses

I love these sunglasses! One of the best things about my new job is getting to try on lots of different pairs of sunglasses and specs at work! In the next couple of weeks expect to see me get a pair of glasses and take lots of photos!

Omg the only thing that could possibly make this bed better was if it was a water bed! I could never afford one but I love it so!

5. Panasonic Lumix

I am all about bright colours at the moment but my camera also has to be tough enough to survive me. I love my Olympus but its boring silver body is making me sad at the moment!

6. Miss Gina Flats from Peep Toe.

Super Duper DAMN expensive but fluro coloured pink! LOVE.

7. Singer Sewing Machine!

A hopefully soon aquistion! I want to be able to take up my own pants, make my own clothes and have fun dammit!

8. USB Laser Guided Missile Launcher! from Think Geek (again)

I have wanted on of these for years and years. While I dont work in a cubicle anymore I think it would be fun to see my cats chase the missiles!

9.Cupcakes! from Cupcakes on Pitt.

I was working on Pitt street for my two weeks training and this bakery does heavenly cupcakes. Featured above is Strawberry. Sadly only in Sydney but expect to see them expand to other cities eventually.

Kiva is an awesome concept. It is the world's first person-to-person micro loan website, individuals lend directly to entrepreneurs around the planet! So Awesome!

• Make Up Tutorials on Youtube

Specifically the Pixiewoo Channel. I love the english accents and they have a billion tips and tricks. Found them while looking for a tutorial on Dita Von Teese style makeup!

• Sunday Sweets on Cake Wrecks.

While I Love me a Cake Wreck Sunday Sweets is my favourite post of the week hands down. This week it was Cakes Based on Threadless Shirts. Not sure if I want the cakes or the shirts more! SO gorgoeus!

• Twitter Home Page:

Twitter has a new home page with the emphasis on searching for content. Very slick but since I twitter mainly through TweetDeck probably not going to effect me much. Strangely no outrage as always happens when Facebook changes something

• Graph Jam

Graph Jam is an offshoot of Fail Blog and LOL cats and is nearly always funny! I specifically love this one

• Lick My Cupcakes

I linked to Em last time for her "Think inside the box" secrets post. Her blog is a really positive source for me. Em is gorgeous and so brave in my opinion! The girl cuts her own hair! So check her out peoples!

I fell in love with a kitten at the pet store and now dream of having another cat... however I already have three so I cant have any more but still LOVE!

• Cortex Hair Staightener soon from the Best BF EVER

I broke my hair straightner. Dropped it and cracked the ceramix plate. My boyfriend works at a hair salon (not as a hair dresser) and when he saw he offered to buy me a new better straightner! Such a gem! So a Cortex Hair Straightner is in the works for me soon. I shall review it when I get it!

• Coraline Book by Neil Gaimen.

I really want to read the book before I go and see the movie. Gotta get my hands on a copy! I love Neil Gaimen and I know that the book will be awesome!

• I'm totally in love with cute overload (No surprise there) but this one made me "awwwww" out loud!

• Doe Deere is one of my favourite people on the Internet. This post about her Unicorn Outfit is amazingly inspiring.

• Evolution Graffiti So awesome! Must of taken a lot of work!

• Wataru Itou is an art student in Tokyo. His art work is hand made and took four years of hard work to construct. It has electrical lights, Ferris Wheel, and a moving train, all made of paper! The photos are utterly stunning and beautiful!

1. I got a set of poi for christmas from my BF and I love them to death but always forget to practice so I am not very good but I would love these light up poi from flow toys! Might get to me to practice more :)

2. I love this face scrub from 10.0.6 It seems amazing and has done great things for my skin. Gotta buy myself some more as I've run out!

3. My BF bought a Beta Fish (Fighting Fish) recently and it lives at this house. They are really pretty and relaxing to watch.. to Bad I have cats!

4.Micro Mini Top Hat from from Etsy Seller candygears. I have been invited to a Burlesque party later this year and I would love a top hat like this to wear to it! (Photos from the party may not be work safe people just warning you!)

5.2UNFOLD multi-use laptop bag is a drool worthy leather creation that I am currently lusting over despite not owning a laptop!

6.Candy Coloured Converse? Oh yes please. So Cute!

7.An RSS Cushion is one of the offerings from craftsquatch are super cute and really net geeky. Not sure if I want a Twitter or an RSS.. maybe both!

8. I Left it on the toast toaster. Concept design that is really clever if not practical!

9. You never forget your first doctor T-shirt from Think Geek. I am a HUGE Doctor Who fan so no way I could pass up this shirt!
